I have had this little washer bank in my laundry room for some time now. It works really good for all that spare change I find as I am cleaning out pockets. I really have never LOVED the colors of it (a little to countryish for me). Since my laundry room is in the process of a makeover, I thought maybe I could give this little guy a makeover too!
BEFORE
All I basically did was clean him up, let him dry, spray painted the little bugger white. Then once the spray paint was dry, I took some of my glaze with black paint (left over from my Heirloom Table Makeover) brushed over it to fill in all the grooves. Then wiped off the excess with a damp cloth.
WHOLA!
AFTER
Up next was a little wooden washer board I have had 4EVER also. I had originally spray painted it white with that crackle finish to make it look older. But I was sick of the look of that too so it also got a little makeover.
BEFORE
This little guy also got a good washin, I then taped off the metal part with my painters tape & a good coat of spray paint I had leftover from another project.
AFTER
I like the new fresh pop of color.
More laundry room makeover to come soon! It's ALMOST DONE!
Enjoy!
