ETSY Treasure of the Day

You probably know someone touched by breast cancer - your mother, sister, wife, co-worker or maybe even you. Today's treasure is in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. This past weekend I participated in the Gunderson Lutheran Steppin Out in Pink Breast Cancer Walk for the 3rd year in a row. It is to help raise awareness and money to help find a cure for Breast Cancer.  I started a team 3 years ago with my Step Mom T. We call our team "Loretta's Ladies" after T's Grandma who suffered from breast cancer. It is a super fun event and last year (2009) 4,500 people participated, and $300,000 was raised. It is something I am very proud to be a part of. Next month in October is Breast Cancer month too, so I am getting a early start on awareness!
Check your TA TA's! :)

Etsy Treasure of the Day

Here is my 2nd installment of my Etsy Treasure of the Day!
I LOVE decor! If you have read my blog, you know this about me. I came across this super cute wall art from the Etsy store "aboundingtreasures".They had several decor pieces I just LOVED, but this one is my favorite!

Isn't it so CUTE?!?
It is made from recycled Richard Scarry books.
I LOVED reading them when I was a kid!
They have several other books & themes at their store!
What a cute idea, really the possibilities are
endless to theme, book, etc!
Go check them out here!

Enjoy!

New Series: Etsy Treasure of the Day

I am starting a new series, or sort of my wish list in Etsy. If you haven't heard of Etsy yet, you have to go check it out. It is a FABULOUS collection of amazing handmade & vintage treasures. http://www.etsy.com/

I just heart going on Etsy and seeing what artists from all over the world have been up to creating. I get very inspired just looking through the beautiful art and vintage pieces.

Thus, I am starting on Monday's, a new series called "Etsy Treasure of the Day". It will be my picks on what I am loving right now.

I have to start with my Fall wishlist of trying to become more sustainable. I saw these
"Mid Century Modern Orange Towel House - Dispenser for Paperless Unpaper Towels" from Made in the Redbarn.
and fell in love. This is a convenient, stylish way to kick the paper towel habit!

They come in a great selection of funky bright colors, or more neutral if that is your style. They also sell
Paperless, Reusable, Eco Friendly Unpaper Towels to go with them! What a genius idea!
Enjoy!!!
