ORGANIZATION: The Spice Cabinet Day #12

Day #12 The Spice Cabinet

My spice cabinets are already organized so I have no BEFORE photos to show you :(. We installed a "spice rack cabinet" when we did our kitchen remodel. I also have a counter top spice rack. Between the 2 they stay pretty organized.

Here is the spice cabinet.

This is what it looks like when you open the door.

This is slide out all the way open.

The basket of spices underneath.

A close up.

My countertop spice rack.

Enjoy!!!

ORGANIZATION: The Freezer (Kitchen) Day #11

Day #11 The Freezer (Kitchen)

CONFESSION: I have 2 Freezers. This is the only one I had time to get to through. My other freezer is a chest freezer & is plum full. It is completely NOT organized and will take me some time to get it done.
Anyhoo....here is the upstairs (Kitchen) freezer. This was a really quick challenge.
Here it is BEFORE.

The door BEFORE.

Here she is after I got it all cleaned out & sanitized.

Their temporary home while I was cleaning.

Here it is AFTER I got it all back together.

Baskets I got at the Dollar Tree &
this one holds the lunch meat.
The door AFTER.

For anyone with kids, this ice pack is a mother's dream. If you have 2 boys like me, you will have MANY bumps & bruises along the way. (George & Bob the Builder ice packs
both make their tears go away quick, it's the first thing they ask for when they have a bump)
This are really nice as they have a cloth cover & don't get too cold. I picked mine up at Target.

Enjoy!!!

ORGANIZATION: The Laundry Room Day #10

Day #10 The Laundry Room
This one is going to sort of be cheating for me as I just redid & reorganized my laundry room (well a few months ago...Sept actually). But my reorganization has actually worked so well that things are still nice & tidy.

Here is what my Laundry room looks like:

A full view of my new front loaders.

A closer look at under the pedestal.
BTW...I built this Pedestal stand myself. Read all about it here as well as where to get FREE plans to make one of your own!

Inside my basket under my pedestal: Laundry soap
& my jug of Vinegar
(I use Vinegar as a all natural fabric softener, just add a 1/2 cup to each washer load)

My wall of cabinets to the left of my washer & drawer. This area houses all types of stuff as my laundry room is in my basement.

This basket houses all my laundry stain products & extra supplies.

This basket houses my bleach, starch, club soda & other cleaners.

The cabinet above my washer & dryer.

The print I still LOVE & I downloaded & printed off myself for FREE from over at Sprik Space. Go get one for yourself here! She also has other colors available too!

So there you have it! Hope you enjoyed my laundry room!

Enjoy!!!

ORGANIZATION: Toy Organization Day #9

Toy Organization & Storage Day #9

I am glad she covered this area as I just reorganized my boys toys right before Christmas in preparation for the Christmas windfall they always have. So I don't have any before photos unfortunately. And the systems I have in place really work well for our family The boys do really well at keeping things in their place. I organized it like a Preschool or Kindergarten room. Having a spot for everything. I used labels for everything. And since my youngest still can't read yet, I used photos on my labels for him to be able to see what was in each bucket.

Here is my oldest son's room:

This is his bookshelf with some of his toy storage.

His star wars buckets. He has the regular figures as well as the Galactic Hero size mini figures.

Here are his Indiana Jones figures & hunting guys.

A close up of his mini Star wars figures.

Here are some shelves in his closet. This area is very hard to photograph as it is a tight space.
Top shelf is for his magazines & middle shelf houses our View Master projector & slides.

Bottom shelves in his closet.
Smaller hunting guy sets, puzzles & army guys & play sets.

A close up of his smaller hunting guy stuff.

Close up of his army guys & sets.

Our Thomas the trains.

Here is my youngest son's closet. It holds most of his toys.
Full view of closet.
His toy bins which house most of his smaller toys.
I like this system as it keeps all those small toys out of the bottom of the toy box.
We only use a toy box for the bigger items.

A close up of his shelves.
His Knex I kept in their original boxes.

Close up of the "dress up" stuff....AKA handcuffs, sheriff badges, etc.

Here is the label I made. Most of my images I got off the Internet, but sometimes you just can't find what you need. So I took a photo myself to represent what was in the bucket.

Here is my original photo.

Close up of Super Heroes label.

The photo I took for the image.

Here are a few more toy storage areas in his room.

I like to re purpose things versus buying. These old jars make a perfect spot for his smaller bugs, and bouncy ball collection.

Here is my youngest son's bookshelf.

His big bug bucket here is a re purposed cheese ball container.

This re purposed bug container held mixed nuts & was from Target I believe.
I know....we have alot of BUGS! My youngest is obsessed!

I also posted all about our LEGO storage organization a while back. To see all about how we organized my son's LEGO collection check it out here!!! As well has how to get these cool FREE Lego labels too!

Enjoy!!!
